Englishtown was established over 45 years ago and has more than 450 offices and schools across the globe. With a dedicated team of 34,000 professional teachers and staff worldwide, Englishtown has successfully helped more than 15 million people around the world to improve their English.

2010 Asia Game


Englishtown has been appointed the Guangzhou Asian Games 2010's authorised English training services provider. We will provide English training for over 60,000 adjudicators, translators and volunteers so as to raise the Guangzhou Asian Games' overall English standard.
   

1988 and 2008 Olymipic Games


For the Seoul 1988 and the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Englishtown was appointed the "Official language training services provider" to assist over 100,000 adjudicators, translators and volunteers. English language proficiency was raised through our Face-to-face classes, Life club activities and our Online English virtual classrooms. The results are internationally recognised.
   

Government Designated Training Course


The curriculum in Englishtown is the designated curriculum for the "Employees Retraining Scheme English Course" at VTC and "HKCEE English Oral Course" at Cyber University at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
   

CEF


Englishtown is registered as the education institution for The Education and Manpower Bureau. Our training course is recognised by the government's "Continuing Education Fund" and "Workplace English Campaign". Upon completion of the English course and obtaining a pass mark on the specified benchmark test (for example: BULATS Cambridge Business English test provided by Englishtown), qualified candidates will receive a "Continuing Education Fund" reimbursement of up to 80% of the course fee or a maximum amount of HK$10,000.
   

English courses for the "Hong Kong Athletes Career and Educational Programme"


To show dedication and support to our Hong Kong athletes, Englishtown donated HK$1.68 million in English courses for the "Hong Kong Athletes Career and Educational Programme" under the "Sports Federation & Olympic Committee Hong Kong, China", in order to assist 100 of Hong Kong's sporting elite improve their English language ability to prepare them for future retirement and employment.
